Just to annoy you with a not so new favourite of mine:

It's psychedelic, but definitely not goa.

And just a psy-tech tune I love;

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!

or try the previously menionned new cd from andromeda. Even more progressive styled and also some very hefty production and synth use not unsimilar to phaxe, just on a somewhat different beat. It's also a bit more acessible to crowds

Im new to Phy trance, I got here via Progressive roots..... actually I got from "mr Bogart - Phaxe"..... heard a friend play then dug deeper and ended up buying phaxes whole back cataloge on beatport, not long after I added another 120 odd phy trancy tracks to my collection. As im a progressive Dj then I tend to stick to the tracks up to 136 Bpm because these still sound good slowed down to 132 - 133 Bpm, which is as high as I go, So I guess some would consider what I play as not pure phy, but I fkin love it, this go between genre.. it gives me a little edge as everyone else is still playing daniel portman, jerome ismae and the weekend heros.... its all good and i love there tracks, just not played back to back over and over again.

A problem ive come across is I cant seem to get past phaxe, his production to me just sounds that much better than other artists recommended, next to him is Morten Granau who ilove also.... im dying for Beatless to drop and phaxes new albumb.

Any suggestions of artist to look up would be greatly appreciated...

btw, You know how its never really safe to say as a dj that this is your favorite track of all time as next year or month that can easily change, I can honestly say that this track will be in my top 5 ten years from now...... everytime i play it out, it wells such deep emotion of happiness within me that on more than one occasion its brings a tear to me eye.

My latest set. Not really a Psy, but more of a Swidish progress/ Psy progress. This is my first take on this genre, as my regular is HardTechno/Schranz. Tracks in this set are spanning from across 2003 to 2013.

Here at brazil the scene is really big, we have lots of indoor parties, big open air events, private events (smaller open air), festivals of 3 days, 5 days, 7 days camping in the woods or at the beach.
We have even house parties if you know the right persons, and it's really easy to know a group and keep in contact in Brazil, we are a people very open to new friendships and we really party hard

Hey guys! :]

I've had my S2 for about 2 months now and wanted to share a Psybreaks mix I put together toevening ... It's the first live mix I've recorded that I'm actually kind of proud of! I tried to have lots of "2 songs playing at once" and not just mix in and out of breakdowns... experimented with the beatmasher on the last song, and tried to creatively use the reverb and flanger for a few build ups.

there's definitely a few mess-ups but would really love any feedback or support you could give a fellow aspiring psychonautical would-be dreamer DJ <3

It's really underground. I found it and never realized what I was listening too until I found a local dj who was my first live performer and has blown me away with so much love and dedication to his passion. It's such a amazing scene to come across. You go for the dj / visuals / vibe and not the drugs or women that's just a extra to go along with the scene. So being apart of the psychedelic music scene is a lot more fun then going to a mainstream show. I went to a main stream concert the other evening which was infected mushroom and I was disappointed to be there. I would pay money every evening to go to underground shows just because of the people / scene / artwork / the love thats put into it. Money cannot buy the vibe, I'm having a hard time describing the atmosphere.

It's a really hard scene to find, or i'm just not trying. I was invited back in my high school days. When I was 18 years old. Now i'm 22 and haven't been to such a fun event. I've found psychedelic trance venues and parties but they are all over America. I was tempted to buy a ticket out in Upstate New York which was underground but never did because It was out in the middle of the woods and I've never been to New York and would have to pay to Fly then probably pay a taxi driver a shit load of cash to find the hidden location then find a place to sleep. Sounds like a head ache. I wish I just had a billion dollars to have fun with then I would have no worries.

Look online for psychedelic trance community s and then go into the party section, thats where the hidden scene is found. I haven't been to a real rave in a long time. Hope you find the post useful. How is the full on scene in Brazil? I work with people from Peru / Argentina / Chile and they all said it's pretty wild down there. I didn't know you guys liked full on / psychedelic music that's pretty cool.

Here is a link of a website where the scene is really advertised. You can find some sick festivals here.
